What’s it like to work here?

Overview

The Housing Ombudsman is set up by law to look at complaints about the housing organisations that are registered with us. Our service is free, independent and impartial.

We consider complaints using our dispute resolution principles and encourage their use by both landlords and tenants so they can resolve complaints at the earliest opportunity.

Our vision

We understand the importance of housing to people’s lives. We ensure the fair and impartial resolution of housing complaints, locally where possible. When things go wrong we put things right and encourage learning from outcomes. We help improve landlord and resident relationships. We role model the service we expect of others.
