Governance Senior Officer

Reporting into and supporting the Head of Corporate & Information Governance, you will be responsible for the Governance and Secretariat function and supporting business partners to deliver organisational objectives.
Responsible for line management of the Ombudsman’s PA / Executive Assistant and working closely with colleagues across the service and wider directorate, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the system of organisational governance through the effective running of Senior Leadership Team and Directorate Team meetings. You will also provide support to key non-executive and external accountability meetings, building strong and effective relationships with these senior stakeholders. Working collaboratively with service colleagues across the organisation, the Governance Senior Officer also supports effective corporate governance arrangements in the Housing Ombudsman through compliance and assurance activities covering policy management, business continuity planning and exercises, and risk management.
If you have experience of working in a governance related role, are proficient and practiced in coordinating and documenting senior level meetings combined with being a team player with excellent communication and organisation skills who can successfully negotiate and influence, we want to hear from you.
