Performance and BI Manager
The Housing Ombudsman Service are looking for a Performance and BI Manager to head up their newly created Performance and Business Intelligence Team on a permanent basis.
As the Performance & BI Manager you will be responsible for:
- Using key business system data sources and information management systems to organise data and report performance.
- Manage data governance and user responsibilities throughout the organisation from strategy through to implementation and providing BI solutions.
- Manage data analysts in the production of datasets, BI dashboards, and a comprehensive suite of MI reports, ensuring standards/best practice.
- Manage key system supplier partners (Oracle, WorkPro, PeopleHR, etc)
- Produce strategic data modelling and forecasting to predict trends and future resource requirements/ performance.
- Manage transformation improvement opportunities to streamline processes in case management through efficient and effective business analysis.
- Work with the Project and Programme Lead on the development of project and programme management through the PMO.
- Manage the continued development of casework data reporting and analysis to ensure delivery against business plan targets.
- Manage first line support for issues related to the casework management system.
- Coach, inspire, motivate, and seek development opportunities for self and for staff.
- Agree SMART objectives for direct reports, conduct appraisals in accordance with HoS policy, and ensure effective development plans are in place; and
- Maintain active personal development including compliance with professional CPD requirements and HoS policy
- Agree annual objectives with the HCIG and complete all appraisal tasks in line with HoS policy
- Lead in creating and maintaining a ‘learning’ environment that facilitates high-quality knowledge transfer within the team.
The successful application will
As the successful candidate you will have:
- Qualification/experience) in a computer science / data related field
- Data analysis and synthesis – translating data into valuable insights that inform decisions.
- Substantial experience of developing a large variety of data reports from multiple systems
- Considerable experience working with Power BI and/or other data visualisation tools. In-depth knowledge of management information delivery / presentation methodology.
- Extensive experience of extracting and documenting requirements from end users and translating business issues into reporting requirements.
- Knowledge of standards, quality, integrity management knowledge in developing and setting data standards and communicating their business benefit, championing and governing those standards across the organisation.
- Up to date data modelling experience of designing conceptual and logical data models.
- Considerable experience of managing highly confidential and sensitive information in a professional and restricted manner.
