Transition Director
12 to 18 months Fixed Term Contract
Hybrid working from home with occasional office attendance
As our Transition Director, you’ll have a pivotal role designing, driving and leading the Transformation Programme for our substantial casework operations (Dispute Support & Resolution Directorate).
The Housing Ombudsman Service provides independent, impartial and fair dispute resolution services for nearly 5 million households in England. Through resolving disputes effectively and promoting positive change across the social housing sector, we improve residents’ lives and landlords’ services.
The Transition Director will have a high profile role and will work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team to deliver the objectives of the Business Plan, providing advice, support and challenge to deliver the strategy. The post holder will lead and manage major and complex change at pace to increase efficiency and improved outcomes for the service, ensuring involvement and engagement with key stakeholders.
The role will also provide direct support and coaching to frontline managers and supervisors as they help their direct reports through the transition to the new structure in the Dispute Support & Resolution directorate.
For this key role, you will offer significant experience in organisational leadership and delivering successful transformation programmes, underpinned by an in-depth understanding of change management strategies, techniques and programmes. You’ll possess the communication skills to gain buy in and convey a compelling and engaging vision of change, with your track record evidencing your ability to successfully implement and embed that change. You will offer detailed working knowledge and understanding of programme and project management methodologies.
